Trex 450 Sport
Align is well known for its high performance Radio Control Helicopters. They have been the leader in the Radio Control Helicopters market for a long time (established: (1984).
Align has a range of T-Rex models in several versions, this article will discuss the new T-Rex 450 Sport.
T-Rex 450 range has had a number of fantastic redesigns: in 2004 T-Rex 450XL CCPM gave Align international exposure. This T-Rex 450 model was then joined by the T-Rex 450 SE in April and then the T-Rex 450 SE V2 in November of the same year.
Align have now introduced a new model; the T-Rex 450 Sport. The new model is similar to the look of the Align T-Rex 450 SE V2; however has major improvements such as increased stability, agility, durability and improved 3D Performance.
New features include:
- Newly designed head block, main blade grips, and mixing arms with improved rigidity.
- New swashplate design utilizing hardened pivot ball bearing, combined with new stability mixing arm design.
- Newly designed upper-lower 4 plate frame design using 1.2mm high strength 3K carbon fiber material, with strategically placed new motor mount and strengthened aluminum standoffs.
- New anti-rotation guide, battery tray, and frame base utilizing industrial grade fiber plastic material, increasing durability and aesthetic.
- Strategically placed frame cutouts to simplify parallel setup of servo horns.
- Redesigned gyro mounting platform.
- Brand new tail grip assembly with built in counter-weight balance.
- Hoop style horizontal fin mount with longer tail boom supports, effectively reducing tailboom vibrations. Carbon tail fins to emphasize the visually pleasing line.
