One of client review is D Struble. Here's what he said about Acer Tab A500 "I've possessed the Acer A500 tablet for month and love it. We are new to Android so am learning its attributes. Pretty easy to acquire but there are almost certainly nice features I never have yet discovered.
What I'm keen about the tablet:
- The monitor is happier and sharper than my laptop that features a premium monitor.
- Great size for handling plus viewing.
- It may be a comfortable weight. Not as bad as I had been expecting from comments comparing it to the iPad. Much, much better than lugging the laptop especially if you wish to check something while watching television.
- The virtual keyboard is easier make use of than I expected. Nice size.
- The full-size plus mini USB ports. I haven't necessary to use the mini-HDMI port but My business is glad it is right now there for future use.
- Long battery life. Not as long as the iPad but plenty long enough to do.
- The free Kindle instance. I like this greater than my wife's Kindle. While this can't compete around bright daylight, it needs no this lighting for reading during the night time. It offers three various viewing backgrounds, white, sepia and also black. Haven't tried it nevertheless the black might work throughout bright sunlight.

The expense of the app for this tablet is $30. The Slingbox rep warned me the app hasn't been optimized to get tablets yet. I find it to be fantastic on our home the now necessary wireless. You can kinda be in two places at once with telepresence robots, but most
machines limit you to chatting with folks on the other end and moving around.
They don't even have arms.
Japanese industrial robot maker Yaskawa Electric, known for its Motoman line
of robot arms, has been improving its Smartpal service robot since 2005. Once
conceived as a robot bartender, the latest generation Smartpal VII is a
Kinect-controlled telepresence tool that lets users tidy up at mom's house
from hundreds of miles away.
That was the scenario Yaskawa presented recently at the iRex 2011 robot trade
show in Tokyo, where it held a demo.
While a staffer moved his arms around in front of a Kinect, Smartpal mimicked
his motions, picking up stuffed animals and tidying up, as seen in the vid
below.
Now lighter and more compact, Smartpal has two arms, two stereo cameras that
pan and tilt, and can move around on a wheeled base. It can swivel and bend at
the waist to pick up objects on the floor.
It has touch, infrared, and gyro sensors as well as a noncontact recharging
system to prevent electric shocks.
