HP LaserJet 4100n Printer Using HP LaserJet 4100n Laser Toner For Reliable Printing
The HP LaserJet 4100n printer using HP LaserJet 4100n laser toners is a printer that was introduced by HP in 2001. Therefore, the technology of this printer is not the newest available. However, the machine offers very dependable usage that is still being relied on in many offices. In fact, this printer is so popular that many users choose to replace their older machine with a refurbished printer of the same model.
This printer produces 24 pages per minute. Its resolution is 1200 dpi. It works using a 32 MB memory which may be expanded to 256 MB so there should be plenty for your workload.
The machine has a main paper tray which is able to hold 500 sheets of paper and can handle anything from the A4 paper size to a sheet of legal paper. The manual feed also holds these same sized sheets of paper. It is also designed to feed envelopes.
One thing you will appreciate about this older printer is its high duty cycle. It is capable of 150,000 prints monthly. Reviewers often describe the printer as a workhorse. Just be sure to use LaserJet 4100n bulk toner.
You will automatically get a warning as supplies begin to run low. Additionally, the EVM program that is included this machine gives it several features. The program allows Java programs to be run on the printer and give it the e-service printing capability.
This printer is old enough that it still includes a parallel printer connection, as well as an Ethernet connection. The Ethernet connection allows the printer to be connected to your network. Drivers are available to allow use of this printer with most Windows OS as well as those for the Mac. These drivers are included on the CD-ROM.
The printer can be configured through use of the LCD panel and the four control buttons. In addition, the network port is chosen in the same manner. The driver also allows remote management from your computer.
HP included a smart print supplies system with this printer. It can be set to automatically e-mail your printer administrator when it is time for new supplies. The machine sends the administrator an e-mail. It can also automatically order its own toner and other supplies as needed from your vendor.
By opening the front panel of this machine you will find the reason it is so popular. This machine features metal parts rather than all plastic ones. While the metal parts add to the weight of the machine, they also keep it running when many newer machines have been thrown out with the trash. The high quality of this HP printer makes it one of the most popular printers for refurbishments.
With this older machine, you will find some features missing that have become standard on newer printers. There is no automatic duplex printing. The machine will not staple our prints. There is no wireless connection that users of laptops often prefer. However, purchasers of the HP LaserJet 4100n printer will be pleased at the dependable printer that is going to last for a long time even if it is used for high volume printing in your office.
No matter the volume of printing, the HP LaserJet 4100n compatible toner will respond perfectly every time, something users have come to expect with HP toner. What you see on the page is what the toner puts there, so using quality means getting quality.
Is there a compatible mains adapter for this?
I'm looking to buy one of these on ebay (http://www.coolthings.com.au/sites/default/files/Star_Master_Images2_0.jpg ) and although it says that it requires 3 AAA batteries, in the photos it seems to have what looks like an output for a mains adapter? I recognise the hole, does it have a specific name/where could I get one? I live in Germany so ideally a european plug but I can always use an adapter if needs be.
Thanks
sure - this is called a barrel connector - you need a 4.5 volt DC output from the mains adaptor - 200mA should be plenty enough current unless there are markings that indicate otherwise.
There are 2 things to check for.
1. Barrel connectors come in different sizes - mostly the outer size is always the same, but the central connector comes in different diameters.
2. Polarity. Check if this gizmo has any markings to indicate the DC input polarity (+ on the inner connector or outer?) If in doubt get a friend with a test meter to check it for you (compare barrel connector with battery connectors, to see which is + and which is -)
