Electric Bicycles: Tonaro Compy Electric Bicycle Summary
Do you ever reminisce about your childhood days when you’d blaze down the road on a calm summer day on your bike feeling liberated and unreserved? While we have gone beyond those basic types of bicycles, scores of us can’t get use to the noise and air pollution which these fossil fuel burning motor vehicles emit. In the event that you are thinking of choices, there’s a likelihood that you’ve turned down the customary bike because of numerous reasons, not withstanding in the least, that the amount of effort it takes makes you get to your targeted location, maybe your job, very worn-out and perspiring. If the concept the diminutive carbon footprint that a bike leaves behind sounds inspiring to you, except the idea of pedalling doesn’t, you should seriously consider viewing some electric bicycles for instance, the Tonaro Compy.
Electric Bicycles: Key Features of the Tonaro Compy
Priced at about £1000, the Tonaro Compy has 3 operating modes: manual, power assisted and fully motorised cycling. So, you’ll get the best of two worlds: the excellent exercise of riding a bike with the power of a motor when you need it, for example, for climbing hills. The advanced patented crank drive system supplies you with in excess of twice the torque of a centre mounted motor. Its frame is built from a heavy-duty light weighing aluminium alloy that features a Zoom variable suspension. The wheel diameter is 26" (66cm). To afford secure stopping, this bike includes front and back disc brakes. Its gearing is Shimano Acera 8-speed.
Electric Bicycles: Additional Facts Concerning the Tonaro Compy
The Tonaro bicycle contains a potent 36V 10Ah lithium battery that manages a 36V 200W brushless motor. A battery recharge is complete in 4-6 hours and the bicycle goes approximately 30-40km with just one charge. This bike’s motor is conveniently bracket mounted. The complete drive system is located inside the pedal cranking system, as a result, no wires are hanging down going from the front or the rear wheel from a hub centred motor. The Compy has a front suspension, along with high quality Shimano gearing. Electric bicycles such as this many times include 3 running modes. In the bike’s first mode, the rider is unassisted in pedalling, much the same as pedalling a conventional bike. In the bike’s second mode, which is pedal assist, the motor of the bicycle assists with the pedalling motion of the rider in order to augment speed. The third mode of this bike is its full motorised mode; in this mode the biker doesn’t pedal at all, but the motor of the bike does all the work.
Electric Bicycles: Final Thoughts on the Tonaro Compy
It’s the innovative motor design which distinguishes this electric bike from others which are similar. Dissimilar to centre mounted motors, it has a zero drag or resistance after the motor is turned off, letting cyclists pedal trouble-free and easily, successfully boosting the bicycle’s range. Furthermore, cyclists go through no deficiency of traction which is normal with front wheel centre mounted motors, also the Tonaro Compy has more balance than bikes containing rear wheel centre motors. Finally, the motor is virtually silent, and the entire drive system is maintenance free.
Electric bicycles such as the Tonaro Compy are completely turning around our idea of bike riding.
Can anyone give me an idea to how a buggy works, with motors, transmitter, receiver and forward and reverse?
I need to know how this works, so I could build one at a workshop. I'm only going to get help from my team mates at the workshop. But they are in the same position as me.
And I don't really have enough of an idea to how to build one, but I do have the motors etc. below.
I've got four 7.2v motors
one metal detector which needs 9 volts
one 60A Brushless Motor Speed Controller 60Aesc RC ESC
two 9 volt batteries
DPDT and SPST switches
transmitter and receiver
It is a small electric buggy that is needed to detect IEDs (improvised explosive devices) underground, as part of an EES (engineering education scheme) project.
still need to know the ratings on the motors.
The speed controller rated at 60 amps seems very large for this project, as I doubt the motors are anywhere near that rating. Or, if they are, you will need some very large batteries to supply 60 amps. The 9 volt batteries won't work, you need something as big as an auto battery.
transmitter and receiver for what?
